Work continues on the composition inspired by life in the village of Collanzo, Asturias.   The working title is "Along the San Isidro"

About two months ago I learned that using an electronic keyboard as a midi controller for digital composition imposes certain limits on the capacity to capture subtle differences in the "touch" of piano compositions.   It means that for pieces of music that depend on harmonics and tonal effects from the piano, only a good acoustic piano can be used.

So this December while I am visiting family for Christmas, I will also be setting up a studio of sorts, to record two of my past compositions:  "In the Jemez" and "April 1".
